BATTLE CHAPLAIN

Role: Leader. You are a natural leader, and, as such, your allies flock to you in battle and you bolster and protect them with a suite of prayers to whatever deity you revere. You guide their blades into a chorus of unerring strikes, and deflect those of their opponents all in the same breath.

Power Source: Divine. You are the hand of your god, and, whether you speak your prayers to Cyriss, lord of the gear, or Menoth, the bastard god of the Protectorate, your own magics are amplified by your beliefs and the favor of your patron.

Weapon Proficiencies: Simple melee, military melee, simple ranged

FAVOR OF THE CHOSEN: At character creation, you must choose a patron deity from the list below to which you pledge yourself. Each deity grants the chaplain a particular boon, as denoted by the list.

    • Menoth strengthens the resoluteness of his faithful with an infusion of holy energy.

    • Cyriss favors those who would use knowledge as a weapon against their enemies, bestowing a portion of her own wisdom on the chaplain or an ally.

    • Nyssor sows doubt in his chaplain’s foes, disorienting them so the chaplain’s allies can gain an advantage.

BOLSTERING PRAYER: You gain the Bolstering Prayer power

    • Bolstering Prayer

    • You chant a brief prayer and let the power of your deity flow out through you, washing over your allies in an infusion of vigor.

    • Special: You can use this power twice per encounter, but only once per round. At 16th level, you can use this power three times per encounter.
    • Target: You or one ally


    • Effect: The target can spend a healing surge and regain an additional number of hit points equal to your Charisma modifier. (Increase the amount of additional hit points regained to twice your Charisma modifier at 6th level, three times your Charisma modifier at 11th level, four times your Charisma modifier at 16th level, five times your Charisma modifier at 21st level, and six times your Charisma modifier at 26th level).

LEADER OF MEN: At character creation, you must select one of the following boons.

Tactician: You and each ally within 10 squares who can see and hear you gain a +2 power bonus to Initiative
